The first official Beatles Web site will launch this month, 30 years after the group split up, a spokeswoman for the band said on Wednesday. The site, thebeatles.com, will go live on November 13, and will be the only official Beatles site in a sea of unofficial fan pages. The site's launch will correspond with the release of the Fab Four's latest collection, simply called "1," which includes all 27 of their No. 1 hits. "They thought it was the right way to show the Beatles to a new generation," the spokeswoman said. The band's three surviving members, Sir Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr, as well as John Lennon's widow Yoko Ono, have all contributed to the site.
