'ER' Betters Bush, Gore

07/01/1998 at 12:00 AM EDT

Unlike the Presidential election, there were no ties in last week's Nielsen Top TV, and the No. 1 show -- "ER" -- was a clear winner, being ahead of the Sunday edition of "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire" by nearly 3 million viewers. George W. Bush and Al Gore should have it so good. Note, too, that the election returns did not make the Top 10. (The rating is the percentage of the nation's estimated 100.8 million TV homes. Each ratings point represents 1,008,000 households.) The results for the week of Nov. 6-12:
1. "ER," NBC, 18.7, 19.2 million homes

2. "Who Wants to be a Millionaire" (Sunday), ABC, 16.0, 16.3 million homes

3. "Who Wants to be a Millionaire" (Wednesday), ABC, 14.7, 15.0 million homes

4. "NFL Monday Night Football: Minnesota at Green Bay," ABC, 14.6, 14.9 million homes

5. "Friends," NBC, 14.5, 14.8 million homes

6. "Everybody Loves Raymond," CBS, 13.3, 13.6 million homes

7. "The Practice," ABC, 13.2, 13.5 million homes

8. "Law & Order," NBC, 12.6, 12.9 million homes

9. "The West Wing," NBC, 12.3, 12.6 million homes

10. "Will & Grace," NBC, 12.2, 12.5 million homes
