Oprah, get ready to share the printing press. On Thursday, Rosie O'Donnell announced her own new magazine: Rosie's McCall's, in which the talk show queen who loves junk food and Tom Cruise will team with the German media conglomerate Bertlesmann AG to remake the currently existing 125-year-old McCall's magazine. The launch date of the revamped women's publication will be spring (possibly even Rosie's 39th birthday on March 21), the star said at a New York press conference Thursday. Her offering "will have less spirituality than Oprah's magazine and be more realistically crafty than Martha's," said O'Donnell, referring to Oprah's O magazine and Martha Stewart Living. "And it will have a lot more of my annoyingly Democratic politics in the middle." Asked what subjects her new magazine might touch upon, she said, "gun control comes to mind right away . . . Celebrities will be involved, but they won't be the focal point." Leave that to PEOPLE, Rosie.
