Talk about barefoot but unbowed: Sharon Stone chaired last night's third annual American Foundation for AIDS Research (amfAR) ceremony -- honoring Kenneth Cole, Rosie O'Donnell, and Natasha Richardson for their help raising millions of dollars for AIDS research -- in New York wearing nothing on her feet, reports PEOPLE. Stone told the crowd (which included Uma Thurman and hubby Ethan Hawke, Liam Neeson, Kevin Bacon, MTV's Carson Daly and fiancée Tara Reid, and pop star Jessica Simpson, who provided the evening's entertainment) that she called up Kenneth Cole's office to get a pair of size 8 shoes to wear for the gala. At first, she confided, size 9 shoes were mistakenly sent. Then, when a second package arrived, it contained two left shoes. "So, that's why I'm not wearing any shoes." As for honoree Rosie O'Donnell, while few noticed her shoes, all noted her acceptance of her award. "I don't in any way feel deserving of this," said Rosie. "We'll sign it and put it on eBay and give all the money to amfAR."
