Newly engaged veejay Carson Daly and actress Tara Reid will mark their first professional appearance together this weekend by co-hosting MTV's "Fashionably Loud," a runway show set to live music. Previewing for PEOPLE.com what viewers should expect of them, Daly said, "Ideally, it will be more like banter when we go shopping." Reid is not so sure, however. "Hosting," she admits, "I don't get to memorize lines. I'm not a good cold reader, so for me to read off a monitor fast, it's way more stressful and nerve-wracking. I'd rather act a scene opposite De Niro tomorrow." While she perfectly feels comfortable discussing fashion, already being something of an expert in that field, Reid also said that being around Daly has been an education as far as music is concerned. "Before Carson, I didn't know who sang what. I was completely retarded . . . With him, that's his life. So all of a sudden now, if someone turns on the radio, it's like, 'Oh wait, I know that song!' And my friends are like, 'Who are you? When did that happen?' " And what's been Reid's effect on Daly? "I think I dress better," he says.
