Love/Hate Relationship

Courtney Love, 36, has filed a $1.5-plus million lawsuit in Los Angeles Superior Court against Lesley Barber, the ex-wife of Love's current love, Geffen Records executive Jim Barber, claiming the woman ran over her foot in a Volvo -- costing Love a $500,000 movie role in director John Carpenter's upcoming "Ghosts of Mars." The complaint, filed last month, charges Lesley Barber with assault, battery, trespassing, infliction of emotional distress and invasion of privacy, and refers to Love as the "victim" of Lesley's "20-month campaign of stalking" that came to a head last June 4, with the alleged car accident. Love, lead singer of the band Hole and widow of Nirvana singer Kurt Cobain, also claims that Lesley vowed to set her house on fire and frame her for drug possession. Love's also seeking injunction against Barber to "prevent further harm" from the woman she claims is "on a mission to destroy her."
