Ivana Trump, Divorce Expert

Dear Abby, move over. Famous New York divorcee Ivana Trump, 54, is about to put her personal and professional experience to work, penning a new advice column for the Toronto-based Divorce magazine, said a press release from the publication on Tuesday. "We first approached Ivana because," said Divorce's editorial director, Diana Shepherd, "she epitomizes our philosophy that there really is life after divorce for both you and your children." Trump, whose well-reported 1992 divorce from real-estate developer Donald Trump propelled her into the public's consciousness, said, "When I saw my first copy of Divorce magazine, I was impressed by how positive and helpful it was." Trump's first column appears in the winter 2001 issue. She will also answer one question per week on the Divorce Web site. "When most people think of Ivana Trump, they think beauty and glamour," said Shepherd. "But we were more interested in who she is as a person."
