Globes are Golden: Nielsen

Sunday's Golden Globes presentation was a Nielsen's ratings winner -- big time, becoming TV's second most popular awards show, after the Oscars. With 22.5 million viewers, this year's broadcast was up 2% in the ratings from last year's. Elsewhere in the ratings, the usual suspects performed to expectations. Worth noting, however, reports The New York Times, is that for all its sex appeal, Fox's "Temptation Island" could not quite match the numbers achieved by the network last year, when it aired the National Football Conference. (The rating is the percentage of the nation's estimated 102.2 million TV homes. Each ratings point represents 1,022,000 households.) The Top 10 for Jan. 15-21:
