Take one part sugar, two parts spice, five pairs of baggy jeans and a few bubble gum tunes and you've got O-Town, the latest boy band creation from pop mastermind Lou Pearlman -- the brains behind 'N Sync, Backstreet Boys and LFO. The world was first introduced to these burgeoning pop stars when they were merely boy band wannabes on reality show "Making the Band." But on Tuesday night at New York's Planet Hollywood, reports PEOPLE, the red carpet was rolled out to celebrate the debut CD of the not-quite-fab five: Jacob Christopher, 20; Erik-Michael Estrada, 21; Ashley Parker Angel, 19; Trevor Penick, 21; and Dan Miller, 20. A gaggle of some 50 screaming fans waited in the frigid January night air for the "O-Towners" to arrive. These fans are devoted, too, says PEOPLE. Those who were not granted entrance into the party did not abandon the scene. Instead, they stood pressed against the glass walls surrounding the entrance of the restaurant. One teenage girl lifted her shirt and pressed her torso against the pane of glass to display a crudely written ode on her belly. Its message? "I Love O-Town."
