Clinton's Golden Words

05/28/1998 at 12:00 AM EDT

In his first working gigs since leaving office nearly two weeks ago, Bill Clinton is set to hit the lucrative lecture circuit next week, when he will deliver a pair of speeches in Florida, including one at a Morgan Stanley Dean Witter financial services convention for a reported $100,000. His other Florida speech is set for a synagogue. The fee for that one has so far not been reported. The Morgan Stanley payment, however, compares favorably with the fee that George Bush received shortly after he left the White House in 1993, notes the Associated Press, but nowhere near the $2 million that went to Ronald Reagan for delivering two speeches to businessmen in Japan in 1989. No word yet on what issues Clinton will address when he takes to the podium in the Sunshine State.
