Hatch Blasts New Survivors

Last summer's "Survivor" millionaire Richard Hatch, 40, thinks the new batch of contestants on the sequel "Survivor: The Australian Outback" are a bunch of weak also-rans, he's told the Boston Herald. "It's amazing how poorly they're playing the game, given the leads we gave them," the former corporate communications advisor and current Beantown radio DJ said. He did, however, say a few encouraging things about New York personal trainer Alicia Calaway ("smart . . . responding well to a lot of different stimuli") and Dallas car designer Colby Donaldson. ("bright and reserved enough to go the distance"). While some observers have compared would-be actress Jerri Manthey to Hatch when it comes to being Machiavellian, Hatch himself says, "Dear God, I hope not! She's too unaware of how she's impacting the others. I think her attitude and her anger are going to be her demise."
