Anna Nicole: Next to Marilyn

05/20/1998 at 12:00 AM EDT

Anna Nicole Smith, 33, testifying in the ongoing (and ongoing) Houston trial over the estate of her late husband, nonagenarian oil billionaire J. Howard Marshall, said in court on Tuesday that she and her husband vowed to have their final ashes placed next to those of Smith's heroine, Marilyn Monroe. In Marshall's case, said Smith (he died 14 months after their 1994 wedding), his ashes will be placed near Monroe's at Los Angeles' Westwood Memorial Park just as soon as Smith can find a suitable urn. "I told him I want to be buried in the same concrete thing as Marilyn Monroe and he said he wanted to be buried there also," Smith testified on the stands, reports Reuters. Monroe died in 1962.
