Actor Ray Liotta, who literally loses his head -- or major portions thereof - - in "Hannibal," hopes that the hit movie will signify a comeback for his career. Liotta last hit it big in Martin Scorsese's 1990's "GoodFellas," which brought the actor, now 45, an Oscar nomination. He followed with such lesser efforts as 1995's "Operation Dumbo Drop" and 1999's "Muppets from Space." "I definitely hit a lull that I'm coming out of, no question about it," he's told reporters. "I think it's just the nature of the business." In "Hannibal," which passed the $100 million mark at the box office last weekend, Liotta plays a Justice Department official out to trip up FBI agent Clarice Starling (Julianne Moore). En route, he meets up with Hannibal "The Cannibal" Lecter (Anthony Hopkins). "You always hear about the ups and downs of a career, and luckily the down wasn't too down but luckily the highs haven't been too high either."
