Streisand Meets Snow White

You loved her as Yentl, but how about as Snow White? Variety reports that n one other than Barbra Streisand, 58, was on a soundstage Monday night at Sony Studios -- accompanied by a full orchestra -- to record the fairy tale anthem, "Some Day My Prince Will Come." Why? For a special, upcoming DVD version of the Walt Disney animated classic (Walt's first animated feature, in fact), 1937's "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs." To date, notes the trade paper, more than 25 million copies of the Disney masterpiece have already been sold on VHS and laserdisc. Obviously, with Streisand AND the Wicked Witch around, lots of the new DVDs are apt to be sold, too. No official release date has been announced, so far.
