The Late Michael Jackson

Michael Jackson needs a new watch. The Gloved One, 42, was two hours late for his appointment to serve as best man at paranormalist Uri Geller's wedding to fiancé Hannah outside of London on Wednesday, reports the Associated Press -- an incident that the spoon-bending psychic obviously did not foresee as happening. The more than 100 guests, which included Eurythmics guitarist Dave Stewart, bided their time with champagne and kosher canapes. "We had the reception before the wedding, that made it a bit unusual. That was Michael's fault," guest Edwin Clein, the Lord Mayor of Liverpool, told the news service. Finally Jackson showed up, gave Geller the gold ring, and Rabbi Shmuley Boteach, Jackson's spiritual mentor, could conclude the service. "It was a bit unreal, but nice," Clein said. Jackson's apparently been running late all week. When he spoke at the Oxford University on Tuesday, he was three hours overdue.
