Everyone saw Julia and Russell accept their trophies, but only those at Vanity Fair magazine's Oscar bash at Morton's on Melrose saw another big star on Oscar night: Sean "Puffy" Combs, reports PEOPLE. The rap mogul, dressed to a T in a light gray suit with satin tie, circled the room with a buddy in tow. "The bar's open!" he shouted to the crowd, as if to celebrate his recent verdict. All went smoothly until the arrival of his ex, Jennifer Lopez, with her escort, dancer Chris Judd. The couple never let go of each other's hands as they circled the party as well, at one point coming within two feet of Combs and his crew. No words were exchanged between Lopez and Combs, but the actress did look Combs's way several times. Elsewhere at the bash, Penelope Cruz caught up with her "All the Pretty Horses" costar Matt Damon and the two whispered together for several minutes amid the boisterous crowd. She then took photos with "Almost Famous" screenplay winner Cameron Crowe and later stood waiting for her limo outside the restaurant with her pal Ben Affleck. Over at Moomba, Elton John tossed his own post-Oscar bash, where backed-up limos caused a traffic jam outside and fire marshals maintained crowd control inside. Tom Hanks, overwhelmed by the sheer number of guests, told PEOPLE "I don't know where anyone is!" Finally, Sir Elton himself hopped on to the stage to present door prizes of diamond-encrusted watches, with one of them going to cult director John Waters. Then, talk about odd couples: Elizabeth Hurley swept into the back bar room, with a starry-eyed and casually clad Pamela Anderson. Apparently, Pammy, who'd been dressing glam recently, has d ecided to revert back to her California rocker look.
