Madonna to Tour: Label
The December bride's domestic stint is obviously winding up, because Madonna, 42, will embark on her first concert tour in eight years, since her 1993 "Girlie Show," according toa statement released by the Material Mom's Warner Bros. record label. The pop star's first performance is due to take place in Europe this June, said Warners (which, like PEOPLE, is part of AOL Time Warner), and it will be followed by a series of July shows in America. Cities, dates and ticket availability have yet to be announced. "This tour will be one of the most extravagant stage spectacles of her career," said the label, which also promised to unveil the full schedule in the coming weeks. In December, Madonna married British director Guy Ritchie in the Scottish Highlands and then settled down in a London town house with their son, Rocco, born in August, and her daughter Lourdes, born in 1996. She did emerge to open the Grammys last February.
