There were strange doings afoot at Mel Gibson's house in Greenwich, Conn., this weekend. According to police, a 49-year-old local, her two young children and her dog were caught trespassing at the star's home. The estate manager declined to press charges against them, however, so no complaint was filed. According to the Associated Press, the visitors were discovered around 5 p.m. on Sunday after they had scaled a fence that surrounds the actor's sprawling backcountry estate. The woman told police that she was to have met someone on the site for a historical society project. Her explanation for climbing the fence was because the front gate to the estate was locked. Gibson was reportedly not in Connecticut at the time of the incident.
