Perry's Car Trouble

Matthew Perry, 31, banged up his brand new silver BMW on Wednesday morning in L.A. when an unidentified 75-year-old woman smacked into him in an intersection, say police. Neither party was injured. But Perry's car, so new that the dealer plates were still attached, reports the Associated Press, got the worst of it. Officer La Donna Cissell of the LAPD said on Thursday that drugs and alcohol were not involved. Perry's publicist issued a statement basically reiterating the same information. The "Friends" star has acknowledged being treated in 1997 for what his publicist called the "early stages of chemical dependency." Earlier this year, he entered a rehab clinic for treatment of an undisclosed condition. Last May he accidentally smacked his Porsche into the front porch of a house in Hollywood. No one was hurt.
