Madonna's unmentionables went for thousands of dollars in an online auction on Friday, while Elton John's jumpsuit went unsold, reports the New York Post. An unidentified male bidder reportedly paid $13,800 for the material Mom's black leather bra and panties outfit that she modeled in her 1992 book "Sex." Pre-sale estimates priced the bra at $1,200. A spokesman for the auction house of Leland's, which generally handles sports memorabilia, told the Post that 50,000 people visited his firm's Web site on the day of the sale. He credited the Madonna items, which also included some signed undies, as boosting curiosity in the sale. Not a one of the 50,000 came up with the asking price of Elton John's rhinestone jumpsuit, however. It carried a reserve of $10,000.
