Fleiss's Plea Bargain
Former "Hollywood Madam" Heidi Fleiss, 35, admitted before Los Angeles U.S. District Judge Consuelo Marshall on Monday that she has a drug problem, thereby copping a plea and a receiving a passport into rehab. Fleiss recently spent 11 nights in federal custody for violating her supervised release by using methamphetamine, a setback that could have put her back behind bars. (She had served federal time for tax evasion and money laundering from 1996-99.) But, reports the New York Post, Fleiss cut a plea deal that calls for her release, drug rehabilitation, six months of home detention and having her supervised release increased from 18 months to two years. "I hope you don't see me in this courtroom again," a contrite Fleiss told Judge Marshall.
