Eminem: More Probation?

Eminem's attorney, Wally Piszczatowski, has told the Detroit Free Press that he hopes to keep his client out of jail and on probation for a new charge that the rapper faces. On April 10, Eminem, whose real name is Marshall Mathers III, pleaded guilty to a weapons charge in Macomb County Circuit Court and received two years probation. (The charge stemmed from Eminem's alleged pistol-whipping of a man kissing the musician's wife, Kim.) Now, Eminem, 28, faces a felony charge of carrying a concealed weapon and a misdemeanor charge of brandishing a firearm in public in connection with a June 3 argument with members of a rival Detroit rap group. Oakland County Assistant Prosecutor, Mark Bilkovic, said a plea bargain would be fine with him. "He could plead straight up and work out a sentencing deal with the judge," Bilkovic said. "In a case like this, I wouldn't go in screaming for jail time."
