McGregor: No Kidman Romance

Scottish actor Ewan McGregor, 30, who costars with Nicole Kidman in her new movie "Moulin Rouge," has issued a statement through his London agent denying stories that he was the cause of Kidman's recent split with her husband of 10 years, Tom Cruise. "I don't know anything about it -- it wasn't anything to do with me," the star of "Star Wars: Episode I -- The Phantom Menace" and "Trainspotting" announced in his statement. Cruise, 38, dropped a bombshell when he filed for divorce from Kidman, 33, in February. The move took her completely by surprise, PEOPLE reported. In the magazine's April 16 cover story on the couple, a source from the set of Cruise's latest movie, Steven Spielberg's "Minority Report," quoted Cruise as saying, "Nic knows exactly why we are getting the divorce. But she's the mother of our children, and I wish her well."
