'West Wing'-ers Tour White House

Members of the cast of NBC's "The West Wing" got a tour of the real thing on Sunday, though some of the headliners were missing, the Associated Press reports from Washington D.C. That would be President George W. Bush and President Josiah Bartlet, who is actually the actor Martin Sheen. (In February, Sheen called Bush a "moron.") Fellow Democratic activist Rob Lowe, who plays Sam Seaborn on the show, marveled at the history of the White House and pronounced it "just amazing, how open to the public it is." Bush's chief of staff, Andrew Card, led the tour of White House offices. Card's deputies, Josh Bolten and Joe Hagin, posed for photos with actors Bradley Whitford (who plays deputy chief of staff Josh Lyman) and Richard Schiff (communications director Toby Ziegler). "They've been incredibly nice to us," said Whitford. "We are, after all, the fictional opposition."
