Former "NYPD Blue" star Andrea Thompson, who left the top-rated ABC show to become a cub reporter at an Albuquerque, N.M., TV station, will begin as a new CNN Headline News anchor in June, it has been announced. (CNN, like PEOPLE, is part of AOL Time Warner.) But now comes news that some nude photographs of Thompson have surfaced on some Internet sites, reports the New York Post. The shots, which Thompson has acknowledged as genuine, apparently come from an obscure 1986 Italian movie in which she starred called "Manhattan Gigolo" as well as from a steamy scene from the HBO comedy series "Arliss." She also appears nude in some pictures on a Black and White magazine Web site. "I did pose for Black and White magazine, a prestigious, artistic publication, several years ago," Thompson, 41, said in a statement to the Post. She added that she makes "no apologies for the creative decisions I've made as an artist in my 20-year career." In its own statement, CNN brass told the Post, "We accept Andrea Thompson's explanation regarding the photos in question."
