Tim McGraw, 34, planted a big kiss on the lips of wife Faith Hill in Orchard Park, N.Y., Town Court on Tuesday, where he is facing misdemeanor charges over a horse-riding incident last June. On Monday, the first day the case came to court, even the prosecutor in the case admitted to the jury that the singer was a nice guy, reports Court TV. This is despite the fact that McGraw stands accused of sparring with police when, according to sheriff's deputies, he and his road manager, Mark Russo, tried to intervene when authorities attempted to pull singer Kenny Chesney down from a police horse. Chesney, who is accused of commandeering the animal without permission, claims that the daughter of one of the officers had given him permission to ride Chico, a 17-hand thoroughbred, to a VIP area to show the performers' children. McGraw is charged with misdemeanors of third-degree assault, obstruction of governmental administration, resisting arrest, and menacing, as well as a harassment violation. These could result in a one-year sentence, which Russo also faces. Chesney faces a disorderly conduct violation and 15 days in jail.
