Cinematographer Freddie Young, who won three Oscars for shooting three of David Lean's epics, Tuesday, at his home outside London. He was 96. Young shot the desert sands for "Lawrence of Arabia," Russia's snows for "Doctor Zhivago" and Ireland's stormy swells for "Ryan's Daughter."
