J.Lo to Small Screen

Jennifer Lopez has made a deal with NBC to star in and produce a music special this fall, marking her first regular TV gig since she began her career dancing in the Flygirl ensemble of the Fox comedy series "In Living Color," reports Variety. She will produce three additional specials for NBC and also develop a half-hour sitcom that is said to be based on growing up in the Bronx. The first special, which will focus on her current top-selling album "J.Lo," will be similar to past showcases for Faith Hill, Dixie Chicks and Madonna, says Variety. Meanwhile, in other news of Lopez, 30, a Superior Court judge in Los Angeles refused on Friday to issue a temporary restraining order barring rap mogul Marion "Suge" Knight from marketing a purported sex videotape of her. Knight's lawyer said his client doesn't have a sex videotape of Lopez, but that one of his companies is producing a video on the singer-actress called, "J.Lo Uncut: The Real Story." Lopez sued Knight and his Death Row Records for invasion of privacy. In her lawsuit, Lopez said she is unaware that such a video exists but that if it does she wants the sale of it blocked.
