Former "Murphy Brown" star Candice Bergen, 55, took time to remember an old college pal in New York Tuesday night, reports PEOPLE. Bergen presented noted photographer Mary Ellen Mark the prestigious Cornell Capa Award at the 17th Annual Infinity Awards, which benefited Manhattan's International Center for Photography. The actress and the internationally known shutterbug have been friends since they attended the University of Pennsylvania together. "I knew her when she was just starting out in photography," said Bergen, who had just flown in from L.A. to make the presentation. Through the years Mark has photographed Bergen a few times, including once for the cover of Bergen's 1990 memoir, "Knock Wood." "This award means everything to me," said Mark, who currently has a show at the ICP's uptown Manhattan space. "I was just shocked when they told me (that I won). I couldn't believe it."
