Celebrated French jazz pianist Michel Petrucciani, 36, Wednesday, in a New York hospital. He suffered from osteogenesis, a rare bone disease that restricted his height to just three feet. Classically trained as a very young child, he learned jazz piano from the age of 4. By 16 he was leading (and recording with) his own trio.
