The first Starbucks in China, Monday, in a posh five-star hotel in downtown Beijing. "We are trying to reach the average person," said Hsu Da-lin, chairman of H&Q Asia Pacific, a private equity firm that is part-owner of Starbucks Beijing. "We don't want people to think of this as a luxury."
