Tweety Bird and Sylvester, as the stars of the best-selling U.S. postage stamp of 1998. The Postal Service says nearly 38 million of their stamps were sold during the year. Even so, Tweety and Sylvester fell far short of the all-time most popular U.S. stamp, the 1993 Elvis Presley commemorative, which sold more than 124 million.
