Actor-director-writer Don Taylor, 78, who played Elizabeth Taylor's bridegroom in "Father of the Bride" and went on to direct such features as "Escape From the Planet of the Apes," Tuesday, of heart failure, at the UCLA Medical Center ... Oscar Scaggs, 21, the son of singer Boz Scaggs, on New Year's Eve, of an apparent drug overdose in San Francisco, it was announced Sunday by the elder Scaggs' publicist.
