The cha-cha and the fox trot, as the latest college campus trend, according to The New York Times. "We are in a society that is increasingly impersonal, and there is a need for a way to meet one another," Pennsylvania State University president Graham B. Spanier told the paper. "Ballroom dancing offers that." In January Penn State will increase their ballroom dance classes to accomodate 1,400 students (up from 240 last semester).
