The World Champion New York Yankees' perfect-game pitcher David Wells, to Canada's Toronto Blue Jays, in exchange for legendary great Roger Clemens, baseball's only five-time winner of the Cy Young Award (given annually to a league's best pitcher) and two other players. The trade shocked fans and players alike, particularly Wells, who was so proud of being a Yankee that he once pitched wearing Babe Ruth's baseball cap
