"Singin' in the Rain" star Donald O'Connor, from a severe bout with pneumonia, his musical director said Tuesday. O'Connor, who turns 74 in August, checked out of the Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs Saturday and is staying in the resort community with his family to recuperate before returning to his home in Sedona AZ.
