Soprano Alma Pedroza, who sang the national anthem at the 1960 Democratic National Convention in Los Angeles that selected John F. Kennedy as the presidential nominee, Tuesday, of cardiac arrest. She was 81 and had enjoyed a bilingual operatic career.
