Richard Gere, 49, and his companion (since 1996) Carey Lowell, 38, a baby, early next year, his press rep said. Lowell was divorced in 1993 from actor-director Griffin Dunne, with whom she has a daughter, Hannah, 9. Gere's ex-wife Cindy Crawford had a baby boy last Friday.
