By actress Mia Farrow, who survived polio as a youngster, the cause to eradicate the crippling childhood disease worldwide. Farrow, 54, appeared at the United Nations Thursday for the release of a U.N. Children's Fund report that concluded that wars, debt and persistent poverty have impeded the goal of wiping out polio by the year 2000.
