Sosa's blistering momentum is ahead of the pace set last year by St. Louis Cardinal Mark McGwire, who hit a record-breaking 70 homers. Furthermore, with his next home run Sosa will set a new baseball record. Nobody's ever hit 60 homers in two back-to-back seasons. Ever. Not even Babe Ruth (60 homers in 1927 and 59 in '21).
