Oseola McCarty, 91, the washerwoman who managed to save $250,000 and gave most of it away for a college scholarship fund for complete strangers so that, she said, "the children won't have to work so hard, like I did," Sunday, in Hattiesburg, Miss. . . . Restaurant-owner Jim Foxworthy, father of comedian Jeff Foxworthy, 65, Monday, in Leesburg, Ala., when the car he was driving collided with a truck on a rain-slickened road. Two men in the truck suffered minor injuries.
