Marvin Wood, 71, the high school coach whose tiny Indiana basketball team inspired the 1987 movie "Hoosiers" (with Gene Hackman), Wednesday, of bone cancer, in South Bend, Ind. . . . Frederick C. Belen, a former deputy U.S. postmaster general during the Johnson administration who helped initiate the mail system's ZIP codes, Wednesday, in Arlington, Va. He was 85 and had Parkinson's disease.
