Steven Spielberg, 53, will receive the Directors Guild of America Lifetime Achievement Award (previously called the D.W. Griffith Award, until the director's name was stripped off the trophy last year due to his controversial 1915 film "The Birth of a Nation"). The ceremony will take place March 11.
