Dr. Laura Is Sorry
Nationally syndicated radio show host Dr. Laura Schlessinger has issued an apology for comments she had made on the air that characterized homosexuality as deviant behavior and a biological error. "Regrettably, some of the words I've used have hurt some people, and I am sorry for that," she said on Friday's show. "Words that I have used in a clinical context have been perceived as judgment." She said she did not mean to characterize gay individuals or to encourage others to disparage gay people. "I regularly remind my listeners that we are all made in God's image and, therefore, we should treat one another with love and kindness, irrespective of one's faith."
