Reed Pleads Not Guilty

Movie reviewer and accused shoplifter Rex Reed, 61, pleaded not guilty in a Manhattan court yesterday to a charge that he tried to leave a New York Tower Records store with three CDs hidden in his jacket. He said he forget them, and refused to accept a judge's decision that he attend a shoplifting counseling session. "I'm not guilty of anything but stupidity," Reed said, according to Reuters.
