Cinderella Splits

After a 70-year marriage, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty and Mickey Mouse are getting a divorce -- from Golden Books. The Hollywood Reporter says that Disney has notified the financially troubled children's book publisher that it plans to find a new licensee when the current Disney-Golden contract expires at the end of this year. The current inventory of existing books can be sold through the end of 2002, so start collecting them now.
