Just in time for Father's Day -- which, don't forget, is this Sunday -- the National Fatherhood Initiative has named its winners of the 2000 Daddy Awards, given to the movies released last year that offered the best portrayal of fatherhood. (This is the group's first-ever such awards.) And the winners are . . . Best Portrayal of Fatherhood in a Dramatic Film: "The Winslow Boy" (the stern but protective father of a boy accused of stealing in school was played by Nigel Hawthorne). And the Best Portrayal of Fatherhood in an Animated or Family Feature: "Stuart Little" (Hugh Laurie played the adoptive pop of the mouse). Happy Father's Day to the winners, and to everybody else.
