Betty Boop Gets Wired
A familiar, um, figure on more than 1,000 licensed products bearing her name and likeness, Betty Boop, the cartoon world's own "boop-boop-a-doop" girl, is now set to debut on the Internet, reports Variety. No date on when her site will premiere, but Betty already appears on lottery tickets in Wisconsin -- with 17 more states said to be following suit. Betty always did seem to be in it for the money.
