Mariah, Michael Win World Music Awards
At the 12th annual World Music Awards in Monaco on Wednesday, Mariah Carey and Michael Jackson received awards for best female and male artists, respectively. (Awards are for best-selling artists in their categories.) Also honored at the ceremony: Ricky Martin for male pop artist and Latin artist, and the Backstreet Boys for best pop, dance, R&B and American group. The show will be broadcast May 29 on ABC.
