Patrick Stewart to Apologize

11/28/1997 at 12:00 AM EST

Actors Equity ruled against actor Patrick Stewart in his skirmish with the Shubert Organization, which is producing the Broadway drama in which he stars, Arthur Miller's "The Ride Down Mt. Morgan." Stewart had complained from the stage after a performance that the Shuberts weren't supporting the show, and the Shuberts, in turn, filed a complaint against Stewart with Actors Equity. Essentially, the actors union has told Stewart not to argue with the landlord. He must now make a public apology to the Shuberts.
